eComX is a consulting and technology company specializing in AI-powered brand intelligence systems (BIOS). We're registered in Wyoming, USA, and operate at ecom-x.com.

Jim Moore is the founder and principal consultant. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means eComX.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity data: First name, email address
• Profile data: Business archetype, monthly revenue range, interests, quiz results
• Payment data: Processed through Stripe — we never see or store your full card number
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time on site, referral source
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, language preference
• Attribution data: UTM parameters, click IDs, referral URLs, campaign identifiers

We believe in radical transparency about tracking. Here's exactly what we do:

• First-party cookies: Session management, consent preferences, theme selection
• Device fingerprinting: We create a session identifier based on your browser and device characteristics. This helps us understand your journey across pages without requiring login.
• Cross-session stitching: When you return to the site, we attempt to reconnect your session to previous visits. This lets us understand your full journey from first visit to conversion.
• Identity resolution: When you provide your email (newsletter, waitlist, or purchase), we link your anonymous browsing history to your identity. This is how we personalize your experience.
• Full journey attribution: We track every meaningful interaction — page views, button clicks, form submissions, purchases — to understand what content and features drive results.

Why? We invest in understanding what works so we can give you better content, better tools, and better recommendations. We don't sell this data or use it for anything beyond improving our services and marketing effectiveness.

We share data with exactly two platforms for advertising and analytics:

• Meta (Facebook/Instagram): Via Meta Pixel (client-side) and Conversions API (server-side) — for ad targeting and conversion measurement
• Google: Via Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads — for site analytics and ad performance

That's it. No one else.

We also use the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email delivery
• Supabase — database hosting
• Vercel — website hosting

If you're in the European Economic Area, you have these rights:

• Right of access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

Under CCPA, sharing data with Meta and Google for targeted advertising may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

To opt out:

• We'll process your request within 15 business days
• We'll stop sharing your data with Meta and Google for ad targeting

You can still use all eComX services after opting out. We don't discriminate.

On your first visit, you'll see a cookie consent banner. You can choose which categories of cookies to accept:

• Necessary: Always on — required for the site to function
• Functional: Theme preferences, language settings
• Analytics: Google Analytics, session tracking
• Marketing: Meta Pixel, Google Ads, attribution tracking

You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie settings in the site footer.

• Subscriber data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Payment records: 7 years (legal/tax requirement)
• Consent records: 5 years (GDPR compliance)
• Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
• Session data: 30 days

eComX services are designed for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact privacy@ecom-x.com and we'll delete it immediately.

We may update this policy when our data practices change. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or a prominent notice on the site. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when this policy was last revised.
